Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high-quality standards in food production. The ideal candidate will have a background in the restaurant industry, strong culinary skills, and experience in team management and supervision.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain food safety
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance and support as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other team members to develop new menu items or improve existing recipes
- Train new employees on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
- Assist with scheduling and managing labor costs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
