We are recruiting for a Reception Teacher for a Primary School in Sefton (L20) to work on a long-term basis starting immediately!

The Reception Teacher role is to start in September for a 9-month mat cover. There are 25 children in the class and there is one full-time TA in the class

The school would like someone who has previous Nursery or Reception teaching experience. With this Reception Teacher role they are looking for someone who is also confident to deliver the Phonics scheme Essential read write inc.

Your role & responsibilities:

1. Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
2. Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
3. Managing behaviour
4. Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
5. Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

6. You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
7. Hold QTS
8. Knowledge of the national curriculum
9. Be passionate and understanding
10. Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
11. Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
12. Good communication skills
