hackajob is collaborating with The AA to connect them with exceptional tech professionals for this role. Location: Basingstoke (hybrid working 3 office days per week). Employment Type: Permanent, full time.
Responsibilities
* Elicit and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
* Critically evaluate and reconcile information from multiple sources to identify true needs and deliver appropriate artifacts.
* Act as the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
* Collaborate with developers, technical analysts, and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and analyse trade-offs.
* Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, driving business units to execute their plans successfully.
* Support innovation within the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence and contribute to governance and best practices.
* Familiarity with IT software development life cycle, project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), and IT terminology, including architectural models and database technologies.
Qualifications
* Experienced IT Business Analyst with experience working within Financial Services regulated environment.
* Proficiency in process and data modelling, requirements capture, and analysis, as well as tools like Jira, MS Azure, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
* Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience, with related professional qualifications being beneficial.
* Analytical and logical thinker with a confident communication style, committed to continual assessment and improvement, and comfortable with challenging peers and adapting to business needs.
