Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable School Cleaner to join a school in Flintshire on a supply basis. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students and staff by carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the school premises. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential.

Roles and responsibilities of a School Cleaner
As a School Cleaner, your role may include:
1. Cleaning the school site
2. Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors
3. Use of cleaning equipment
4. Emptying and cleaning bins
5. Spot cleaning of spillages
6. Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards
7. Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries
8. Cleaning doors and windows
9. Checking stock levels of cleaning materials
10. Reporting all defects/hazards immediately to the caretaker or supervisor.
Skills and experience required to be a School Cleaner
To be a School Cleaner, you should:
11. Have a reasonable level of fitness
12. Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
13. Be able to manage time effectively
14. Have the ability to work alone and without supervision, or as part of a team
15. Have awareness of health and safety procedures
16. Have reading skills for following instructions
17. Have maths skills for measuring cleaning fluids
18. Be pro-active rather than re-active.
