About the Role
We are currently searching for a Regional Aftermarket Application Engineering Supervisor who will be responsible for Aftermarket Europe, Middle East, and Africa Mixing Solutions resources and global quotations to meet the various market expected lead times associated with Mixing Solutions’ brands, product lines and product types, ensuring that quotations meet the mechanical and process requirements of customer specifications and supervising employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. In this position, you will work closely with outside sales team to support customer questions and inquiries in a timely manner. Qualified candidates will have the ability to blend technical and commercial sales skills to support and drive business growth.
About Your Responsibilities
1. Actively collects data on employees and ensures that individuals are aware of their performance and performance relative to their goals.
2. Actively collects data to identify gaps in knowledge and training & works to provide document process maps/procedures/training to close the gaps.
3. Administers WorkForce T&A time management for payroll and time off for all direct reports.
4. Files all completed work electronically to create proper historical record of transactions.
5. Ensures the latest effective approaches, policies, and practices relative to pricing and margins are being applied at all times.
6. Applies engineering principles to translate the mechanical and process requirements of customer specifications into the most advisable sales quotation.
7. Enters new inquiries into ERP and CRM system(s) with correct and complete information per company procedures.
8. Travels occasionally and is available after hours to support customer requirements, traveling into the office or working remotely to resolve customer concerns.
9. Support project type work with direction from Process Technology Team and Engineering Team.
10. Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that customer transactions are delivered on time and in specification.
11. Designs spare mixers and retrofits to meet mechanical specification and process requirements by performing calculations, coordinating the creation of engineering drawings, and coordinating the sourcing of non-standard parts.
12. Determines price and lead time for spare mixers and parts and develops technical written proposals (including all necessary documentation) in response to customer inquiries.
13. Ensures level loading across the team members for both quoting and technical customer support.
14. Ensures the quote backlog is being actively monitored and customers are always in communication with quote status & quote completion date.
15. Fields customer requests from the company salesforce and reacts to those requests in a timely manner.
16. Follows instructions from Commercial Leads and Process Technology Team on sales strategy.
17. Identifies the root cause for issues and provides a root cause analysis to management. Tracks the changes and ensure the problem is not reoccurring.
18. Manages the onboarding of new employees, as well as offboarding of employees as needed.
19. Provides excellent service to internal and external customers by meeting or exceeding their needs by: Fielding incoming phone calls and emails and respond in a timely manner, establishing proper expectations and delivering on those expectations and ensuring that every transaction ends with a satisfied customer.
20. Provides weekly communication to the commercial team relative to the performance of the regional AE team.
What Do You Need
21. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics.
22. 3-5 years’ experience working with mixers or rotating equipment.
23. 1-3 years’ leadership experience.
24. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
25. It is envisaged that the person(s) carrying out this key role will possess and actively demonstrate a blend of highly developed application engineering competences commensurate with the scope of the role, complemented with demonstrable behavioral competencies that are the hallmarks of an effective and respected team supervisor.
26. The role calls for strong people skills, leadership skills and an ability to clearly focus on the planning & preparation of the activities administered by the engineering teams.
27. Computer literacy, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
28. Experience with MRP systems, SAP a plus.
29. Excellent hands-on mechanical engineering aptitude; ability to seamlessly integrate into the industrial machinery manufacturing industry and to contribute effectively to the team.
30. Fluent in German and English.
