What you’ll do on a typical day:
Plan multi-drop routes for our fleet of rigid vehicles delivering beers, wines and spirits to various different client sites
* Working with high profile clients to enable an efficient and effective operation
* Conduct remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan
* Ensure that all related administrative work is carried out accurately and to a high standard
* Maximise efficiencies through effective management of available resources
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and make confident business decisions
* Problem solving and a customer service focus
* Working with subcontractors and used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Transport planning experience in a fast-paced environment, transport, events, scheduling
* Project based experience and a continuous improvement mind-set
* Good geographical knowledge of UK
* Experience with planning software from ESP or GTS is an advantage
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
* Computer literate in Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
