Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Housekeeper to work alongside our friendly and motivated team of nurses and health professionals on a busy Renal/Medical ward. We require someone who is dynamic with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills and undertake further training if required.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform non‑clinical duties including cleaning of patient and staff areas.
* Coordinate and deliver catering services, organise minor maintenance and order/store supplies.
* Monitor quality standards, identify and rectify deficiencies in liaison with the Unit Manager or Clinical Lead Nurse.
* Work closely with contractors and support services departments.
* Ensure the ward remains a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
* Adhere to trust values and beliefs while working independently and prioritising tasks.
Key Skills and Competencies
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work as part of a team.
* Good IT skills.
* Excellent organisational and coordinating abilities.
* Proactive and able to work independently.
* Knowledge of and experience with Oracle and store systems is desirable.
* Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
* Essential: Educated to GCSE standard (grade A‑C) or equivalent.
* Essential: Experience of working in a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Desirable: Qualification in related subjects or working towards an intermediate food hygiene certificate or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a housekeeper role.
