Operations / Production Manager required for Commercial Vehicle Company based in Cupar, Fife

Full-Time, Permanent PositionWe are working on behalf of a well-regarded commercial vehicle company seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Production / Operations Manager to lead their busy workshop operations.
This is a long-term, full-time opportunity offering a high level of responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact in a growing business with a newly expanded facility.

Positive, supportive working environmentDay-to-Day Responsibilities as an Operations / Production Manager:
Lead and manage a team of skilled and semi-skilled workshop staff
Oversee workflow planning, production scheduling, and process optimisation
Recruit, develop, and manage performance through structured systems
Ensure full health and safety compliance and drive a strong safety culture
Prepare customer quotations using time and materials data
Monitor inventory, equipment usage, and vendor performance
Negotiate supplier contracts and manage vendor relationships
Generate operational performance reports and track KPIs
Implement and improve company policies, systems, and procedures
Support senior leadership with business development and strategic planningIdeal Operations / Production Manager Profile:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE ON THE TOOLS
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar operational leadership role
Strong people management and staff development skills
Confident in quoting, job pricing, and workflow optimisation
Experienced in managing workshop health and safety standards
Computer literate with strong reporting and analysis capability
Capable of vendor negotiation and supplier performance management
Excellent organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)Additional Desirable Experience:
Background in SME vehicle workshop or paint shop operations
Experience applying Lean / Six Sigma principles
History of delivering cultural change through operational improvements
