Senior Business Support Manager Job Description Join our Everyday Banking team within the Retail Products function, where we focus on growing retail deposits, deepening customer relationships, expanding our customer base and delivering outstanding value for our members. In this influential role, you'll work closely with the Director of Everyday Banking and the Senior Leadership Team, operating at a senior manager level to support the effective delivery of our Everyday Banking strategy. You'll oversee a broad portfolio of activity across product areas, ensuring strong governance, alignment and engagement across the Society. You'll also lead and contribute to a variety of bespoke projects, large and small, while supporting team communications and the wider people agenda. Your work will include preparing high-quality executive presentations, managing action tracking and planning, and providing proactive inbox management for the Director. Responsibilities What you'll be doing You will play a pivotal role in delivering the Everyday Banking team's objectives, reviewing and contributing to key deliverables to help achieve strategic outcomes. This is a broad and fast-paced position that requires balancing multiple priorities in a pressurised environment, so strong judgement and the ability to prioritise are essential. You'll work confidently with colleagues across Nationwide, including senior leaders, to ensure effective collaboration and progress. You will also ensure the team's objectives are advanced in line with the Retail and Society Plans, leading the creation of executive-level content for presentations, leadership meetings and internal all-hands sessions, and occasionally taking the lead in these forums. Alongside co-ordinating strategic investment bids, delivery plans and governance updates, you'll manage incoming demand and a variety of ad hoc projects to support the Director of Everyday Banking. Your work will enable smooth execution, clear communication and strong alignment across the Everyday Banking function. About you We're looking for someone who can make a real impact, bringing strong organisational capability and the confidence to collaborate with, influence and constructively challenge colleagues at every level. As a minimum, you'll need to have:
• Product management and/or Profit & Loss experience
• Experience shaping strategy and driving effective action planning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, compelling messages
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of building trusted relationships and influencing senior leaders
• A high level of responsibility, discretion and professional judgement
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, including creating clear, insight-led data packs for Senior Leadership Teams
