Interim Global Lease Controller– c.£100-125k – PE backed Bristol business

A large,plex international group is seeking an experienced senior finance leader to take ownership of its global lease portfolio in a business-critical role with significant executive exposure.
This role sits at the centre of the organisation’s financialernance, providing oversight of lease accounting, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust control across multiple jurisdictions.
The role:
1. Lead and oversee all lease-related activity globally, ensuring consistenternance and control across the full lease lifecycle
2. Provide strategic insight on lease vs. buy decisions, partnering with CFO, CEO and senior leadership
3. Full accountability for IFRS 16 reporting, balance sheet integrity, and high-quality disclosures
4. Oversee right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, including valuation, remeasurement and life cycle management
5. Own audit relationships for lease accounting, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of issues
6. Provide senior oversight of lease contracternance, working closely with Property, Legal and Procurement
7. Drive performance, controls and continuous improvement across global lease processes
8. Lead and develop a team of (manager to analyst level)
Key requirements:
9. Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
10. Deep, hands-on IFRS 16 lease accounting experience in a large,plex organisation (non-negotiable)
11. Proven senior leadership experience with ownership ofplex balance sheet areas
12. Strong background in audit, controls, and global finance environments
13. Practice candidates are considered at Director level or above.
Package & details:
14. c.£100-125k (FTC) or day rate equivalent
15. Highly flexible working – 2–4 days per month in the office
