Overview
AGGP2026 - Graduate Wing Airframe Engineer. Start date September 2026. Airbus seeks university graduates to join a two-year Global Graduate development journey designed to accelerate growth, leadership potential, and technical execution in a personalized program.
The program is a two-year experience with rotations, leadership development from day one, and opportunities to contribute directly in a specific, impactful position. You will join a global graduate community for a development week each year and develop into an established team member from day 1.
You will gain exposure to areas strategically important to Airbus, learning about the business, its opportunities, challenges, and needs, while discovering your own strengths and leadership capabilities. The aim is to prepare you to take on future leadership challenges within Airbus and to do your best work in aerospace.
What you will be doing
You will follow a development pathway to grow into the role of Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer in one of the Wing Engineering Teams in Filton, Bristol, UK. By the end of the two-year program you will be equipped to be a key player as a Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer.
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement. During the two-year program you will develop into the position of either Design or Analysis engineer in one of the Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineering Teams in Filton. You can expect to be involved in the following areas:
* Static stress analysis, from first principles to FEM-based analysis
* Design using CATIA tools, configuration management and DMU in Wing Structures and/or Systems Installation
* Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis
* Digitalisation – automating processes using coding skills
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate:
* A degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
* Degree type: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher)
* Recently graduated or first professional experience in a relevant field
* Strong verbal and written communication in English
* A desire to work in a collaborative team environment and drive future innovation
* Self-awareness and a wish to lead your development
* Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques (desirable but not essential)
* Natural curiosity and excitement to explore
* Willingness to work in a dynamic and changing environment
* Passion for aerospace and the civil aircraft market; sensitivity to client needs and ability to develop good client relationships
