Group Accountant - Taunton Your new company A well-established and rapidly growing organisation based in the Taunton area was recently recognised amongst the region’s top 100 developing businesses. With over four decades of trading history, the group operates across multiple sites and offers a diverse range of services including product distribution, servicing, installations, and a strong online presence. Known for its reliability and customer focus, the business is now bringing its finance function in-house to support continued growth and strategic development. Your new role Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and year-end financial statements for multiple entities. Lead the production of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Submit VAT returns and manage bank reconciliations. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Manage and develop a small finance team. Use Sage and industry-specific software to streamline reporting and analysis. Partner with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance and support strategic growth. What you'll need to succeed ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial or accounting role. Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen. Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.
