Urgent Primary Care Doctor – Face to Face
Urgent Primary Care Doctors deliver rapid, high‑quality medical assessment and treatment in urgent care settings such as Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) and home‑visiting services. The role involves both face‑to‑face care and remote support through Clinical Assessment Services (CAS), providing flexibility and a broad range of clinical exposure.
Responsibilities
* Assess, manage and treat patients presenting with acute and undifferentiated illnesses or injuries.
* Make timely, confident clinical decisions and select the appropriate care pathway—treatment, referral or escalation.
* Use your full clinical skillset, including telephone triage and clinic‑based care.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, NHS 111, ambulance services and acute trusts to deliver safe, joined‑up care.
* Participate in specialist areas such as frailty, end‑of‑life care, paediatrics and complex acute presentations.
* Progress within the organisation, with clear pathways to senior and leadership roles such as Clinical Navigator.
* Maintain flexibility, balancing structured face‑to‑face shifts with remote CAS and UCCH work.
Qualifications
* Qualified GP or equivalent with confidence in urgent care scenarios and safe decision‑making under pressure.
* Strong communication skills with patients and colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Value flexibility, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Employment Conditions
Employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, a satisfactory enhanced DBS with barring disclosure and two references.
Location
Norfolk – Kings Lynn, Great Yarmouth or Central Norwich. Face‑to‑face base working with opportunities for remote shifts.
