Forge Talent are supporting a leading multinational, group business with a newly created requirement for a Management Accountant to take the lead on one of their retail entities.
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this critical role will take ownership over the full management accounts cycle, whilst mentoring and developing on report. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and proactive Management Accountant looking to develop further within a forward thinking and continually growing organisation.
Applicants will ideally be proactively studying ACCA or CIMA and be part qualified or a finalist

Management Accountant Responsibilities:
Preparation of the full month end management accounts
Direct management of one Assistant Management Accountant, mentoring and supporting them through higher study.
Management and ownership of the month end reporting process
Month end variance analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of the annual budget inclusive of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
Preparation of year end accounts
Take the lead on the year-end audit
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Commercial reporting
Business partnering with site managers.
Other regulatory and statuary reporting
Management Accountant Required Experience:
Proactively studying CIMA, ACCA or ACA (Ideally Part Qualified or finalist)
Previous experience in a similar role with full exposure to the full Management Accounts cycle
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and provide reporting.
The ability to work on own initiative, effectively prioritising workflow and deadlines.
A proactive, ambitious and driven approach to the role and further career development.
A high degree of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy.
The ability to manage, motivate and develop a more junior team member to achieve excellent results, ensuring their career progression.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with the wider finance team and external stakeholders.
A commitment to completing CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA examinations.
