Overview

Pastoral Lead - Secondary - Walsall - Immediate Start

Are you an experienced and motivated pastoral lead who is passionate about supporting young people? A supportive secondary school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join their team, helping to ensure students are fully supported in their personal, social, and emotional development.


Responsibilities

* Leading on pastoral care across the school and supporting the well-being of students.
* Managing behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding concerns in line with school policy.
* Supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
* Working closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure effective support.
* Contributing to the wider school community and promoting positive relationships.


Ideal candidate / Qualifications

* Experience working in a pastoral or student support role, ideally in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to remain calm, approachable, and solution-focused under pressure.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and supporting students with additional needs.
* A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
