Tridonic is the Zumtobel Group’s electronics manufacturer, at the forefront of smart lighting. We are seeking a Head of Technology & Innovation at our site in Spennymoor to be the local leader for the Technology & Innovation team.
Main accountabilities include:
1. Drive Technology Innovation: Lead the development of new technologies for emergency lighting and sensors, from initial concept to functional prototype and transfer to development.
2. Develop and Align Strategy: Create and align the technology roadmap with product strategies, ensuring a seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into future product lines.
3. Lead Key Product Developments: Spearhead major new product concepts that enhance the company's portfolio and strengthen market positioning.
4. Inspire and Lead the Team: Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
5. Provide Cross-Functional Technical Support: Offer expert guidance to Product Development, Purchasing, Production, and R&D teams, ensuring technical challenges are efficiently resolved.
6. Global Collaboration and Market Awareness: Engage with the global organization, stay up-to-date on market trends and emerging technologies, and maintain a competitive edge.
7. Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with research institutions and industry partners to drive collaborative technology development projects.
Your profile
8. A degree in Electronics / Physics or similar.
9. Experience in electronic design in a comparable field.
10. Able to demonstrate a record in concept designing and developing Switch Mode Power Supplies.
11. Strong leadership skills with experience in developing a team.
12. Ability to network effectively and build strong internal and external relationships.
13. Open minded and innovative with the outside of the box mindset.
