Technical Skills:
* Primary (In-depth knowledge required)
o Experience of a minimum of around 6+ years in Power BI.
o Should have In-depth exposure and experience in Designing Dashboards, Reports with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder
o Should be able to assist with defining, implementing, and continuously improving Data Governance processes and procedures.
o Should have extensive knowledge of development in Microsoft SQL Server
o Should possess excellent T-SQL coding experience with an understanding how to write highly performing, scalable TSQL code (Stored Procedures, Functions with complex joins)
o Should have extensive experience in designing, implementing and documenting Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models
o Good knowledge in Normalizing and De-normalizing the tables and maintaining Referential Integrity by using Triggers and Primary and Foreign Keys
o Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. Participate in a collaborative structure to capture process improvement ideas and communicate to other groups
o Thorough understanding of Performance Tuning including query/application performance tuning
* Secondary
o Good exposure towards Azure Cloud Computing
o Good knowledge on Azure Analysis Service
o Good Exposure on DevOps
Responsibilities:
* Building Analysis Services reporting models.
* Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
* Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
* Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
* Expert in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
* Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Also, one must be experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI.
* Experienced in secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, etc.
* Expert in using advance level calculations on the data set.
* Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
* Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
* Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
* As part of the responsibilities, participate in design sessions, develop design documents, and participate in acceptance testing and knowledge transfer activities.
* Ability to plan, execute projects to deliver in time and with quality
* Highly motivated Individual to learn and to mentor project member
* Effectively communicate and present ideas and/or project status.
Preferred Experience, Skills & Competencies:
* Experience in defining requirements and documenting business needs to turn that into the reporting solution that is being requested.
* Ability to develop new Visuals as well as migrate from existing ones.
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills
* Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
