UK Right to Work and Visa Information
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement to demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country, granted by the UK Visas and Immigration Service. NHS Scotland Boards will check entitlement to work in the UK as part of pre-employment checks. This can be evidenced through several routes including specific visa types as well as EU settled and pre-settled status. For more information, refer to the GOV.UK website.
For certain post types, sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa may be possible where the employer is a licensed Sponsor and the post meets salary requirements. Further information on these criteria can be found on GOV.UK. It is essential to check that you have the appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible for sponsorship BEFORE submitting your application form.
