We are recruiting for a position on behalf of our aviation client specializing in aircraft asset management and lease services.
Job Title: Senior Powerplant Engineer
Location: UK-Wales - Hybrid

This technical role within the Fleet Management Team involves managing multiple customer and internal projects related to engine activities, including:
* Acting as a virtual powerplant manager for airline/lessor clients.
* Fleet planning and maintenance cost forecasting.
* Optimizing removal planning and engine disposition.
* Implementing cost reduction initiatives.
* Performing Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) / Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) tracking & reporting.
* Managing engine shop visit events, including work scope, inspection, repair oversight, material management, and documentation.
* Negotiating service agreements with OEM and MRO suppliers.
* Reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating engine lease/sale/purchase contracts from a technical perspective.
* Supporting new engine selection.
* Performing engine transition management, including records audit, physical inspection, borescope, and MPA run overview.
* Drafting technical reports and managing technical documentation.
* Mentoring and supporting Powerplant engineers/consultants within the team.
* Supporting new business opportunities.
* Attending OEM technical conferences.
Qualifications / Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years' experience in a powerplant-focused role.
* Airline powerplant management experience preferred.
* Strong technical knowledge of CFM, P&W, GE, IAE, and RR products.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
* Project management skills for timely project completion and resource management.
* Self-motivated and quality-driven.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Travel/Miscellaneous:
* This role may require frequent international travel, sometimes on short notice, for extended periods.
