We are looking for a highly organised Business Support professional to take responsibility for managing project documentation and ensuring smooth information flow across busy, multi‑department project teams. This role supports a wide range of stakeholders, coordinating documents, timelines, approvals andmunication to keep projects running efficiently andpliantly.
Your new role
1. Taking ownership of project document registers and ensuring information is logged, stored and updated accurately.
2. Managing the day‑to‑day movement of documents between internal teams, clients and external partners.
3. Processing a variety of documentation such as internal reports, formal correspondence, third‑party submissions, and project‑relatedmunications.
4. Keeping the project team informed of document progress, outstanding reviews and uing deadlines.
5. Monitoring schedules and proactively reminding team members when documents are due for the next approval stage.
6. Ensuring only the most up-to-date information is available to project staff and removing outdated versions promptly.
7. Reviewing outgoing documents for accuracy, formatting and correct reference numbers before they are issued.
8. Supporting wider administrative needs for the project team, including scheduling, reporting and general coordination tasks.
9. Working across different types of projects, ranging from small administrative assignments to large multi‑department initiatives.
10. Acting as a central point of contact between various business functions, ensuring smoothmunication and document flow.
11. Providing regular updates to Project Managers and supporting them in keeping project timelines on track.
What you'll need to succeed
12. Previous experience in a Document Control, Project Support, Project Administration or Business Support role within Manufacturing and/or Engineering
13. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple document streams at once.
14. Confident working with structured processes, approvals and version control.
15. Proactive approach to chasing updates and ensuring deadlines are met.
16. Clear and professionalmunication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels.
17. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
18. Experience using document management systems or platforms such as SharePoint.
19. High level of accuracy and an excellent eye for detail.
20. Experience coordinating or expediting documents from external suppliers or partners is beneficial.
