Part Time Accountant - Construction - Bedford
We are currently partnering with a well-established and growing construction business based in Bedford, seeking a Part Time Accountant.
This is a newly created role offering 25 to 27 hours per week, to be worked on-site with flexible hours. It suits an experienced finance professional looking for part-time work within a friendly and fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the company directors and working closely with site managers, you will handle a broad range of transactional and operational finance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare weekly payments to CIS subcontractors based on site managers' submitted timesheets.
2. Post weekly invoices received from subcontractors.
3. Input supplier invoices and match them to delivery notes.
4. Process the month-end payment run.
5. Handle intercompany charges for plant and vehicles.
6. Reconcile supplier statements.
7. Allocate intercompany transactions.
8. Maintain annual leave records.
9. Support ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
1. Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
2. Good knowledge of CIS and intercompany accounting preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
4. Confidence in using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
5. Reliable and proactive team player.
