Join Our Team as a Facilities Supervisor at Ferndene Hospital.
We provide Facilities Support Services to a mental health and learning disabilities trust. This part‑time position (30 hours) pays pro rata at Band B (£15.13 per hour).
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring high standards across Domestic Services, Catering, and Portering.
* Manage staff scheduling, performance, and development.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
* Coordinate cleaning, food service preparation, and catering activities to meet service standards.
* Oversee cashier duties, operating a till and managing financial transactions.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of different types of food and cleaning services.
* Experience working in catering or cleaning.
* Experience in a supervisory role.
* Experience with cashier duties and operating a till.
Skills and Knowledge
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Confident decision‑making and good organisation.
* Sound knowledge of food preparation and food service.
* In‑depth knowledge of hygiene and health and safety legislation, including COSHH.
* Customer care awareness.
* Able to meet the mobility requirements of the role.
Education and Qualifications
* Recognised catering or cleaning qualification such as NVQ Level 1 and 2.
* NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent.
* Health and Safety qualification.
