This is an onsite role at our North West depot in Chorley (PR7 3JP) – all candidates must be commutable to Chorley, and ideally holder of a full UK driving license.
Reporting into the Logistics Department Manager as the Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for supporting all services required by our internal and external customers within the Logistics Return Centre (LRC). You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely service delivery to meet contractual requirement, whilst ensuring inventory and transactional accuracy.

Logistics Operative - What you’ll do:
Co-ordinate new stock into the Forward Stock Location (FSL) network via the Telent processes
Identification, recording and processing of Quarantined parts
Receive and book-in units returned from field engineers onto Telent systems
Inspect and verify units based on contract specific DOA/RMA processes
Update Telent systems with repair data
Marshall units for shipment to repair/customer
Book in units returned from repair and replenish to the FSL network or present to the warehouse for booking into stock
Process Logistics Order Desk (LOD) orders for the dispatch of parts from the LRC
Adhere to Telent QEHS practices and policies
Adhering to the required disposal process to meet Telent customer’s contractual requirements
Consistently delivering to contractual Service Level Agreements
Responding to general queries/investigation requests
Handle and manage escalations
Updating of LRC Work Instructions in line with service delivery requirements
Have experience of working in a logistics environment
Be able to demonstrate a flexible outlook and approach
Be able to work under own initiative
Ability to work to deadlines
Taking delivery of goods and supplies
Checking for damage or missing items / shortages. Escalating these to relevant department
Storing goods and transacting movements
Processing, picking and packing orders
Loading goods for dispatch
Arranging logistics / transportation collections & deliveries
Keeping records of stock updated using relevant inventory systems
Ensuring physical stock accuracy
Filing records and keeping paperwork up to date
Conduct stock / inventory audits
Proven knowledge of health & safety and best working practices
Inventory control management experience using systems such as Oracle and Remedy or similar
Good computer skills – MS Office, MS Excel & MS Word

Logistics Operative - Key requirements:
Ideally hold a Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate / Diploma in Logistics Operations - Depth and breadth of Logistics Operations experience will be considered where these qualifications have not been attained
