We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for expanding their knowledge and experience providing compassionate and caring support to our patients. The Surgical Triage Unit is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can utilize a variety of transferable skills to deliver the highest level of patient care. Here, you\'ll gain valuable experience working with patients from multiple specialties, including general surgery, vascular, orthopaedics, and urology.
Our unit is committed to offering comprehensive support to all our patients, both physically and mentally, from diagnosis through surgery and ongoing treatment. Although the acute care setting can be challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding.
This position includes extensive training, as well as personal and professional support throughout your tenure. Our surgical triage unit has earned three green IPAAS accreditations, reflecting the exceptional care we provide and the extensive learning opportunities available to our staff. Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate and caring support to patients in the Surgical Triage Unit across multiple specialties (general surgery, vascular, orthopaedics, urology).
* Utilise transferable skills to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborate with urology nurses and clinicians for specialist support and continuous learning.
* Participate in extensive training and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and requirements
* Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential for this role.
* Willingness to engage in movement of services and applicable training as part of the Trusts requirements.
* Strong communication, organisation, and reliability to support patients, relatives, and colleagues.
