Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location, but the client is open to candidates in London/UK who are willing to travel to HQ once a month, with expenses covered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extendable to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages, supports, and delivers the client's Global Visual Merchandising strategy by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand message consistency across all retailer channels. The goal is to deliver innovative retail experiences that align with the brand strategy and business goals across all physical distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain all Visual Merchandising execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, collaborating with stakeholders on POS materials for all distribution points.
2. Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for VM projects.
3. Maintain the VM Master List across all projects; flag risks and propose solutions.
4. Align retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
5. Create Visual Merchandising Design briefs based on inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
6. Develop planograms and optimize shelf productivity in partnership with Sales, considering POS manufacturing, materials, and lead times.
7. Raise POs, track, and file CAPEX and OPEX costs, maintaining the VM budget and tracker.
Role requirements:
1. At least 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, focused on Beauty and/or FMCG.
2. Bachelor Degree in Design: Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
3. Strong understanding of technical aspects of Visual Merchandising, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical/manufacturing drawings.
5. Knowledge of Project Management principles, capable of managing large, complex projects.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects.
7. Ability to create clear VM presentations and confidently present to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design programs such as Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
10. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to prioritize workload.
11. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
12. Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration ability.
