The individual will also ideally have additional AI skills with Cursor or a similar coding agent.You will lead both backend and frontend development, collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders, and play a key role in driving the long-term technical vision of our platforms.You'll be joining an organisation where your work has visible impact, your ideas are valued, and innovation is encouraged.Key Responsibilities:Platform Development and Technical LeadershipLead the ongoing development and enhancement of multiple Laravel-based platformsShape and maintain the long-term technical roadmapTranslate business and user requirements into scalable technical solutionsIdentify opportunities to implement AI, automation, and workflow improvementsSystems Architecture & IntegrationDesign and maintain secure, scalable, and maintainable system architectureDevelop and manage API integrations and cross-platform data flowsOversee authentication, identity management, and service communicationEnsure effective backup, auditing, and disaster recovery processesSecure Development & ComplianceApply secure-by-design principles across all development activitiesSupport vulnerability management, encryption, monitoring, and access controlEnsure systems align with GDPR, ISO27001, and accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AAMaintain incident response and business continuity processesDevOps & InfrastructureManage CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes using BitbucketOptimise and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, and S3Improve monitoring, observability, reliability, and deployment automationCollaboration & DeliveryWork closely with operational, product, and delivery teams to build user-focused solutionsCollaborate with Product Owners on backlog priorities, acceptance criteria, and technical feasibilityContribute to agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiativesClient & Partner EngagementSupport technical discussions during onboarding and implementation projectsWork collaboratively with external technical partners and stakeholdersSkills and Experience:3+ years' experience in full stack development with strong PHP/Laravel expertiseStrong frontend development skills including Blade, SCSS, JavaScript, and jQuerySolid understanding of MySQL, backend architecture, and API developmentExperience using Cursor to enhance development productivity and automationStrong experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, and S3Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally using BitbucketAdvanced Git/version control knowledgeAbility to work independently and take ownership of projects end-to-endStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working within agile environments using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceDesirableFamiliarity with accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AAUnderstanding of inclusive and accessible design principlesInterest in AI-driven development and automation technologiesWhat We Offer:Hybrid working environmentOpportunity to take ownership of impactful digital platformsSupportive and inclusive working cultureMeaningful work with genuine social impactOpportunities for innovation and professional growthEquality, Diversity & InclusionWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.
