SEND Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Location: Northampton, Corby & Kettering Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term Time Only Contract: Supply or Full-Time Agency: Aspire People Salary: Competitive rates About the Role Aspire People are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in mainstream and specialist settings across Northamptonshire. This is a highly rewarding role supporting children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and physical disabilities. Responsibilities Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs Help implement EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) targets Use creative strategies to promote engagement and independence Support teachers with lesson planning and behaviour management Maintain accurate records of progress and wellbeing Requirements Experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential) Understanding of Autism, SEMH or complex needs Calm, patient and resilient nature Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain through Aspire People) Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (required for travel between settings) Availability between 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only Why Work with Aspire People?
