Electrical Project Manager
Assisting with the Delivery of the Street Lighting and Traffic signs Asset Replacement Programme. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager to help deliver the works. Assisting with the delivery of the street lighting PFI maintenance works. Managing the Team of 10 operatives and electricians.
Base Location: Fenton, Stoke-On-Trent
Roles and responsibilities
Project Management - Assist in managing physical construction activities as directed by the contract Manager. Coordinate and supervise the execution of capital projects and maintenance schemes, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Input - Programme works on a weekly basis, including the management and allocation of plant, labour, and materials in line with client expectations
Site Supervision - On-site teams, completing daily and weekly reports and documentation. Ensure timely and budgeted completion of works
Health and Safety - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement safety practices, and manage risks. Conduct audit reports, providing feedback on Health and Safety issues to the SHEQ Advisor/HSEQ Manager
Organise - Ability to effectively organise work gangs. Ensure Operatives/Sub-Contractors are competent for their assigned tasks.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
Experience - Proven experience in Street Lighting projects and working under NEC and/or PFI Contracts
Qualifications - To ONC/HNC level is Civil or electrical engineering or equivalent
Knowledge - In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations, especially responsibilities under Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and of reviewing variations including NICEIC test certificates
Commercial acumen - Understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L), input into programming and scheduling skills, including programme development and associated budgeting.
Computer literate - Including but not limited Excel, Word, Team & MS Project (Desirable)
