Global Head of Controls Chief Technology Office
The GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO) team plays a vital role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite by ensuring efficient risk and control management. We provide operational risk and control expertise, conduct high-quality reviews of the bank's control environment, perform end-to-end control reviews on key controls, maintain robust risk governance focused on material risks and issues, and foster a culture of continuous risk management.
This new role involves joining a growing team to partner with the HSBC Chief Technology Office (CTO) to deliver strategic, risk-based outcomes globally. The role includes advising on risk and control issues, initiatives, and updates impacting the Group. You will be a leader within the GCIO CCO function supporting the CTO within HSBC.
This is a global role responsible for supporting CTO activities, driving cultural change, and implementing strong risk management practices and control governance across GCIO to ensure transparency and clarity in CTO risk management across all regions and entities.
Key duties include:
* Enforcing risk governance and ensuring stakeholder visibility of risks and remediation activities.
* Partnering to set, communicate, and monitor risk appetite aligned with business requirements.
* Conducting quality reviews of control performance.
* Facilitating controls remediation.
* Raising awareness of risks, controls, and risk management.
* Improving control and risk monitoring practices.
* Embedding the Bank's Risk Management Framework.
