Job Description: Project Worker
Temporary Role
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Temporary, 5 monthsHours: 12 hours per week.
Fixed hours
1. Tuesdays 1pm to 4.30pm (3.5)
2. Fridays 9.30am to 3pm (5.5)
Flexible hours
3. Mondays 2-5pm OR Wednesdays 2pm to 5pm OR Thursdays 9.30am to 12.30pm
Location: Refugee Roots, First Floor, 17-19 Long Row NG1 2DH, and various central locations
Reports to: Charity Director or Line Manager (to be confirmed)
Purpose of the Role
To support the delivery of funded projects:
4. Access (Tuesdays 1pm to 2.15pm)
5. Access Arts (Tuesday afternoons 2.15pm to 4.30pm and Friday afternoons 12.30pm to 3pm)
6. Essential Skills (ESOL, Digital Skills, Education)
7. Any other projects, administration and tasks required.
Key Responsibilities
8. Participant Engagement and Registration
Welcome and register participants for activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and participant information using our database.
9. Hospitality and Logistics
Prepare and provide refreshments during programme sessions.
Ensure spaces are set up and maintained for activities.
10. Outreach and Recruitment
Conduct outreach activities to recruit participants from refugee communities.
Build trust and maintain communication with community groups and individuals.
11. Communication and Administration
Respond to enquiries and provide timely updates to participants and stakeholders.
Manage schedules, correspondence, and reports related to the programme.
12. Collaboration with Partner Organisations
Work closely with partner organisations to coordinate programme efforts.
Share insights and feedback to improve service delivery.
13. Programme Impact
Actively contribute to creating a welcoming environment that supports physical and mental well-being.
Collect feedback and suggestions for improving the programme.

14. Experience working with refugees or other vulnerable groups.
15. Demonstrated ability to manage small-scale programme logistics or group activities.
16. Previous experience in charity or community outreach roles.
17. Experience supporting and leading group activities.

19. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
20. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and organisations.
