Job Description Lifecycle Engineer –Services Control Centre (SCC) Aftermarket Operations Derby/ Hybrid Full Time An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Aftermarket Operations team based within the Services Control Centre (SCC) as a Lifecycle Engineer. Our Aftermarket Operations business continues to develop. A key part of this is Technical Response; we are fundamental to the aim of supporting a future where every Rolls-Royce powered aircraft takes off on time, every time, and our customers receive all the necessary support to keep the engines on-wing and out of the overhaul shop. The SCC is responsible for providing rapid response to on-wing customer issues, providing troubleshooting and immediate online technical guidance, supported as necessary by issuing approved technical data in order to support both the customer and Rolls-Royce Airline Support Teams (AST) restore flight. The Engineering team is also responsible for proactive support, follow-up and closeout of Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) notifications. You will be part of a dedicated team which is led by Aftermarket Operations and functionally aligned to the Technical Response team within Engineering Delivery, Civil Aerospace. One of your primary responsibilities will be to liaise with customers, airframers, overhaul shops and vendors, ensuring product integrity while resolving customer technical issues. Therefore, you should be confident with multi-tasking, prioritising, making challenging decisions under pressure all whilst maintaining a calm demeanour. Naturally, you will also be an excellent communicator. Responsibilities: In this exciting role of Lifecycle Engineer –Services Control Centre (SCC) Aftermarket Operations, you will: Provide verbal and written technical assistance and troubleshooting advice to the customer and R-R Airline Support Teams (ASTs) worldwide Coordinate the input from other R-R areas including repair engineering, on-wing care, EHM team, engineering specialists, and the lifecycle engineering teams to deliver the right solution as efficiently as possible Author and issue on-wing technical variances (TV’s) to underwrite any continued customer operation, and also establishing the right signal and a strong interface for any deeper problem solving downstream where necessary Manage EHM alerts to provide optimum levels of engine reliability and economic engine management, in line with the TotalCare contract and other Aftermarket value streams Interface collaboratively with other teams within Aftermarket Operations including on-wing repair engineering for repair deviation TVs, identifying manual improvements for the on-wing methods team, supporting logistics and materials decisions within SCC Participate and deliver of local improvement activities to modernise and make better the SCC with respect to quality, delivery, environment and employee engagement Why Rolls-Royce?
