The Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week, on-site).
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced BDM, or a hungry Hotel Sales/Events Executive who is ready to take a step up in their career. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our commercial growth at the property level. Your primary objective will be to identify, target, and secure large-scale businessincluding corporate accounts, group bookings, and eventshelping us to establish The Warwick Hotel as a premier destination and paving the way for our group's wider expansion.
Key Responsibilities Drive Revenue: Proactively identify, pitch, and secure new, large-scale business opportunities (corporate contracts, MICE, group travel, and events) for the hotel.
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy that aligns with the hotels ambitious growth plans and revenue targets.
Relationship Building: Act as an ambassador for The Warwick Hotel, networking extensively and building lasting relationships with key corporate clients, event organizers, and local business networks.
Account Management: Nurture existing relationships to ensure repeat business, upselling our unique hospitality and dining offerings.
Market Positioning: Champion our unique selling propositionthe hospitality and culinary excellence of the Pearl of the Indian Oceanleveraging it to win business against local competitors.
Reporting: Track sales pipelines, conversion rates, and revenue generation, reporting directly to the senior leadership team.
The Ideal Candidate Experience: Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within the hotel sector, or a highly capable Hotel Executive looking to step up into a senior commercial role.
Hospitality at Heart: A genuine, deep-rooted passion for the hospitality industry and an appreciation for vibrant, diverse cultures and food.
Commercial Acumen: A strong track record of winning "large business" and managing high-value accounts or events within a hotel setting.
Driven & Ambitious: You possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the ambition and drive to match our group's rapid expansion plans.
Excellent Communicator: Brilliant interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently pitch to senior decision-makers.
Hands-on: Willing to work proactively on-site 3 days a week to embed yourself in the hotel's culture and operations.
