We are seeking an experienced and passionate Farm Manager to lead day-to-day running of our new school farm. This is not just a job – it’s an opportunity to help shape an innovative, student-led, outdoor curriculum focused on farming, rewilding, sustainability, and community engagement.
You’ll work closely with our teachers, therapists, and students to build a thriving, inclusive provision where young people learn by doing – caring for animals, managing the land, planting and harvesting, and connecting deeply with the rhythms of nature.
The ideal candidate:
* Have a genuine passion for nature, outdoor learning and inclusive environment.
* Supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff.
* Experience in farming, horticulture, or animal husbandry.
* Understanding or interest in how land-based learning can support emotional regulation, communication and independence.
* Experience of working with children with special needs and challenging behaviour.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside teachers, therapists and LSAs.
* Ability to work collaboratively with children with additional needs in a patient, creative and flexible way
