Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
The successful Sales Application Engineer will assess applications to gather essential information pre-sale, to support the sales team in obtaining the correct product specification for equipment proposals
The role will involve:
1. You will primarily assess applications to gather essential information pre-sale, to support the sales team in obtaining the correct product specification for equipment proposals
2. You will assess incoming orders to ensure accuracy of commercial details and technical requirements
3. You will calculate product costs and prepare proposals
4. You will liaise with customers to achieve drawing approvals on complex orders
5. You will be expected to highlight the need for design guide changes and provide input when required
6. You will compile and retain a database of drawings for current and previous designs.
7. You will need to produce appropriate documentation to enable pre-sales support, manufacture, assembly, test and post-sale support, and compliance with appropriate statutory and customer requirements.
8. You will actively participate in the Technical Enquiry process and attend application meetings.
9. You may need to conduct and assist with product testing to validate application details against order requirements
10. You will on occasion, need to conduct customer visits in support of the field sales team when required
11. You will be involved with general sales order processing where necessary
To be successful in this role of Sales Application Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
12. Engineering qualification and or extensive experience within a similar technical role
13. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to prioritise own workload.
14. Proficient in using Microsoft Office at an advanced level and ideally experience with Microsfot Dynamics 365
15. High attention to detail
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills applied confidently at all levels in the organisation internally and externally, dealing directly with customer/distributor or agents
