Hill McGlynn Recruitment is working with a well‑established and growing M&E contractor that is seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team based in Sittingbourne.
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £45,000
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates for HVAC and Plumbing packages
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Supporting with take‑offs, cost planning, and supplier enquiries
* Assisting senior estimators with pricing and tender submissions
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
* Supporting the commercial and project teams during project handover
* Maintaining accurate records and estimating documentation
Requirements
* Previous experience within mechanical estimating or an M&E background
* Basic understanding of HVAC and Plumbing systems
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work within a team and manage deadlines effectively
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Proficient xlqdzyr in Microsoft Office packages
