Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting them in finding the right products, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to upsell and manage time effectively will contribute to the overall success of our store.
Shift Patterns
* Monday - Saturday either 7:50am - 16:30pm or 9:25am - 18:05pm.
* Sundays - 9:30am - 16:10pm.
* Required to work every second weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) on a two week shift rota.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner.
* Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
* Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed.
* Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling.
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
* Stay informed about product knowledge and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
Qualifications
* Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude is key.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change.
* Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
* GCSE (Maths and English) grade C or above or equivalent.
* A genuine desire to help customers and create an enjoyable shopping experience.
