The Role
Working closely within our small multi-disciplinary team, you will support the development of interpretive content and storytelling frameworks across a range of museum, exhibition and visitor centre projects. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, you will be based at our Leith studio in Edinburgh. Please note that remote working is not available for this post.
* carry out primary and secondary research to support content development
* prepare interpretation plans and content frameworks
* support community and stakeholder consultation to help shape interpretive content
* contribute to the development of creative interpretive concepts
* support the digital development of interactives and film-based media
* write clear, engaging copy for exhibitions and visitor experiences
* support project delivery across multiple live projects, working to deadlines
* contribute to studio coordination and day-to-day administration
About You
We are looking for someone who is curious, creative and well organised, with a strong eye for detail and enthusiasm for bringing stories to life.
* hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
* have an ability to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives
* be able to demonstrate an interest in history, culture or place-based storytelling
* have experience of writing for public and non-specialist audiences
* be a confident communicator able to express ideas clearly
* be able to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment

Hours of work
This role is initially part-time (3 days per week, 9am-5:30pm), but with the potential to increase to full-time.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience
