About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our ambitious team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and the evolution of autonomous motorsports.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility, including availability in evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
2. Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly, ensuring safety and peak performance.
3. Dynamic Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and real-time adjustments.
4. Logistics Coordination: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
5. Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
6. Safety Stewardship: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Mechanical Mastery: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and performance optimization.
2. Electronics Competency: Basic understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with experience in MoTeC systems.
3. Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment, demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
4. Technical Qualification: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related field.
5. Adaptable Mindset: Interest in autonomous driving technologies and innovation within racing environments.
6. Collaborative Spirit: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
7. Valid Driver's License
