We are a stylish boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, offering relaxed luxury, beautiful surroundings and outstanding food. Our restaurant features a wood-fired pizza kitchen as part of our casual dining experience, showcasing fresh local produce and authentic techniques. You’ll join a dynamic, close-knit brigade in a venue with strong guest satisfaction and a growing reputation.
The role
As our Pizza Chef, you will:
* Prepare pizza doughs, sauces and toppings from scratch, ensuring consistent quality.
* Operate our pizza oven (wood-fired or stone) and bake pizzas to perfection – texture, flavor and presentation.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak times, and support other kitchen sections when required.
* Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and health & safety.
* Work with the Head Chef/Executive Chef to update and innovate the pizza menu (seasonal toppings, specials, vegetarian/vegan options).
* Contribute to stock management (ordering, waste control) and assist with training junior team members.
* Be flexible with shifts – evenings, weekends and public holidays will be required.
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen (ideally with wood-fired/stone oven experience).
* Skilled in dough preparation, dough handling, oven management and topping assembly.
* Excellent kitchen discipline: time-sensitive execution, attention to detail, high standards.
* Good team player, able to communicate clearly with colleagues and front-of-house.
* Flexible, reliable and committed to delivering outstanding guest dining experiences.
* Knowledge of food safety, allergen control and kitchen hygiene standards.
* Ideally, you will have a passion for quality ingredients and an interest in contributing to menu development.
