BidWriter & Governance Officer – Strategic Advocacy
Strategic Advocacy, a leading provider of public/community health services, seeks a BidWriter & Governance Officer to support its business development and bid management activities. The incumbent will write high‑quality, compliant bid responses across a range of subject areas, coordinate contributions from experts, and maintain bid governance processes.
Responsibilities
* Write persuasive, compliant bid responses that accurately communicate ABL's service models, outcomes, and impact.
* Interpret tender specifications and evaluation criteria, develop targeted written responses addressing commissioner priorities.
* Translate complex clinical, operational and performance information into clear, accessible narrative tailored to the audience.
* Coordinate written input from subject matter experts, edit and shape contributions to ensure consistency of tone, structure, messaging and quality.
* Ensure all written responses fully address the questions asked, remain within word limits, and demonstrate compliance and added value.
* Edit, proofread and format bid content to a high professional standard, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with ABL's style and branding.
* Collaborate with the wider bid and business development team to understand requirements and resolve issues impacting the quality of responses.
* Support post‑tender written activity, including drafting responses to written requests for information and supporting narrative for presentations.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of ABL's bid content library.
* Own day‑to‑day tender portal management, including registration, document download and uploads.
* Maintain accurate bid trackers, pipelines and compliance logs, providing clear visibility of status, deadlines, risks and responsibilities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of bid governance processes, templates, trackers and controls.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in a community health or similar environment with a passion for creating innovative, engaging and compliant bid submissions.
* Strong written communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise and persuasive responses.
* Excellent proofreading and editing ability with a strong focus on grammar, accuracy and consistency.
* Attention to formatting, ensuring submissions are visually consistent and fully compliant with tender requirements.
* Adaptable communicator capable of tailoring messages to diverse audiences and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines, managing complex public health and wellbeing challenges.
* High intellectual rigour, political awareness, negotiation and motivation skills.
* Fluency with bid management tools and experience maintaining bid trackers and compliance documentation.
Reporting & Development
The BidWriter & Governance Officer reports to the Senior Bid Manager, develops a sound knowledge of ABL's services and the public health commissioning environment, and supports continuous development of ABL's bid management processes and strategic objectives.
