Role: Assistant Service Manager
Location: Builth Wells
Hours: Full-time (Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins)
Salary: £27,224 per annum, with sleep-in shifts paid at £60 per night, and travel expenses paid at 45p per mile
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you’ll work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. You’ll be visible in the day-to-day operation of the service, supporting duties in line with the requirements of the people we support. You’ll work shifts on a rota basis, which may include sleep-ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, conducting one-to-ones and appraisals, and holding team meetings.
You’ll enjoy building positive relationships with all stakeholders and putting our vision and values into action to deliver a first-class service. Your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, organizing and modeling support in an innovative, person-centred, and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.
Who we are looking for:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards it)
* A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfill their potential
* A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
* Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
* A full driving license — essential and willing to travel for meetings and training
* Access to your own car and willingness to use it for transporting people supported, with business insurance for which we pay 45p per mile
