We're now looking for a Transport Controller to play a central role in coordinating daily transport operations within a small, dedicated team. This is a fast paced and dynamic environment, where you will ensure all vehicle movements are planned, monitored, and completed efficiently while supporting a positive driver culture.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Debriefing Drivers
* Working in a fast paced environment, the role requires confident decision making, real time problem solving, and strong communication with drivers and internal stakeholders by phone and email.
* You will uphold essential transport compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and support the smooth running of all transport operations.
* Conduct regular 1 2 1s with drivers, supporting performance, engagement, and adherence to operational expectations.
* Inputting data, using different systems including Microlise and Tachomaster
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Have previous experience of data input and admin duties
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Must be computer literate and have experience with excel spreadsheets
* Experience within a transport environment (desirable)
* Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Comfortable working under pressure in a fast moving setting.
