Bookkeeper (part-time) – Small Independent School, Llandaff North, Cardiff Location : Cardiff Steiner School, Llandaff North, Cardiff Hours : 15 hours per week, term-time plus additional weeks, flexible working arrangements available Pay : £15.40 per hour (self-employed or PAYE) To start: 17 November 2025 or asap after Cardiff Steiner School are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our small, friendly team at our independent school in Llandaff North, Cardiff. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including term-time plus additional weeks, with hours that can be adapted around school runs, childcare, other jobs, or personal commitments. You’ll work closely with the School Business Manager to maintain accurate financial records and support the smooth operation of the school’s finances. Key responsibilities include: Managing the school’s accounts and financial records using Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Handling accounts receivable and payable, including tuition fees, supplier invoices, reconciliations, and petty cash. Supporting payroll processing and liaising with our payroll bureau. Assisting with VAT and financial reporting, including management summaries and information for inspections and board reporting. Maintaining well-organised financial records and supporting procurement, contracts, and financial policies. Liaising professionally with parents, suppliers, accountants, and other external advisors.
