The purpose of this job is maintaining general ledger entries and reconciling financial statements. You will be responsible for ensuring that ledger data is accurate and precise. Prepare financial reports and review financial results, cost analysis and budgets. Analyse transactions to conclude root causes, variances and suggest corrections to team. Your Key Responsibilities Creates and processes journal entries and maintains and updates prepaid/deferred schedules. Timely and accurate month end close by preparing/reviewing critical journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company, fixed assets payroll, financial statement consolidation process (including foreign currency re-measurement, translation and allocations, etc) and other various accounts. Reconciliation of vendor statement, control account, and sub-ledger. Maintain, manage and update GL records and chart of accounts. Preparing supporting schedules and account reconciliations on balance sheet and income statement line items Variance analysis, budget v/s actual, cost-center summary Proficient with accruals and understanding their impact and can assist others Analysing the financial information and reporting any fluctuations and variances Adhering to accounting standards and working in compliance with country regulations Collaborate and work with other teams such as Payroll, AP, AR Account reconciliation review of complex accounts, communication of results, and correction follow-up Accounting research of all transaction types, including, but not limited to journal entries, open or cleared accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank activity, cash posting, and unapplied or unidentified cash Accounting procedure development and documentation Development, coordination and communication of controls and procedures related to Reporting and General Ledger Develop new reports as well as redesign the existing reports, identify and initiate automation opportunities Mentor, guide, train junior analysts and new recruits Skills And Attributes For Success Have strong understanding of basic accounting and Finance concepts/knowledge Understand financial reporting and analysis Good eye for detail Proficient in SAP Possess good communication skill Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team or on their own initiative Eagerness to learn quickly, be proactive and share knowledge To qualify for the role, you must have 3-6 years’ experience in Finance & accounting processes especially GL process B.Com or M.Com / MBA (Finance) Strong MS Excel skill and knowledge in SAP Knowledge of basic accounting concepts Ideally, you’ll also have Exposure to Power Point Presentations Exposure to Power BI, SQL or any other visualization tools What We Offer EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
