About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed HE Programme Lead – Food Science to join University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL). This is a key academic leadership role with responsibility for the management, delivery and ongoing development of our FdSc/BSc Food Science provision. You will combine programme leadership with teaching, curriculum development and high-quality academic support, ensuring an excellent student experience and strong outcomes. Working closely with college and university partners, you will play an important role in maintaining academic standards, driving continuous improvement and shaping the future direction of food science provision at UCNL. Actual Salary: £24.745.41 - £31,321.58 per annum Working Pattern: 26 hours per week / 3.5 days in a week (Days to be confirmed with the successful candidate) Key responsibilities Lead the operational delivery and quality management of the FdSc/BSc Food Science programmes Teach across the Food Science curriculum and provide personal academic tutoring to HE students Manage and coordinate the HE programme team, supporting effective teaching, learning and assessment Ensure compliance with HE quality assurance, regulatory and examination requirements Monitor and improve student performance, retention, achievement and progression Lead on programme documentation, annual monitoring and quality cycle processes Work collaboratively with colleagues across the College Group and university partners Support student engagement, recruitment activity and the overall HE student experience Essential criteria Degree in Food Science or a closely related discipline Experience of teaching or supporting undergraduate students Sound subject knowledge across relevant areas of food science Strong organisational, communication and analytical skills Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement in HE Why Join Us?
