What You’ll Do
* Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons (Resistant Materials), ensuring safety, creativity, and accessibility for all learners.
* Foster curiosity, innovation, and confidence in young people through hands-on learning.
* Maintain and organise DT workshops, including tool storage, cleaning, ordering, and purchasing of supplies.
* Lead a tutor group, supporting students’ personal development through daily routines, wellbeing activities, and EHCP targets.
* Build strong relationships with families, multi-agency professionals, and the wider school community.
* Play an active role in whole-school life, including parents’ evenings, open evenings, and community events.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified/unqualified teacher with strong DT knowledge and a passion for working with young people who learn differently.
* Experience (or a keen interest) in supporting learners with SEMH, Autism, SEND, and trauma backgrounds.
* Creativity, resilience, and the ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
