At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Computing Security Lecturer based in Uxbridge.
The Computing and IT School provides our learners with the knowledge and skills required by the computing industry. We provide an excellent foundation for our learners to progress to the next level including careers in the IT, apprenticeships and Higher Education.
We are seeking a full time Lecturer to join our successful team and deliver across a range of Computing courses, with Security specialism.
You will possess a degree in a Computing subject and will have some teaching experience including delivery of BTEC programmes Level 2 - 5. You will have knowledge and experience of Virtual Box (or equivalent) or Operating Systems Configuration (Windows and Linux). You will also have knowledge and experience of either IT Security or IT Systems Support.
You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the College will support you to achieve this.

Qualifications
1. Degree in a relevant subject area
2. Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE, DET), or willing to achieve a Level 5 qualification, supported by the College
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience of either:
3. IT Security or IT Systems Support
Knowledge and experience of:
4. Virtual Box (or equiv.)
5. Operating Systems Config (Windows, Linux)
6. Teaching experience in the relevant subject area, including BTEC Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5
7. Up to date knowledge of recent initiatives/developments in Computing and IT
8. Experience of working in the IT/Computing industry
9. Willingness to develop own knowledge and experience of identified area of existing expertise.
