Vision for Education is looking for a determined and reliable individual to cover a SEND Behaviour Assistant role in a school we work closely with in the Hereford area. About the role This school is an independent, specialist day school for girls and boys aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Each day, you will be supporting pupils with their development of skills in literacy, numeracy, communication and social and behavioural needs. You will be suggesting appropriate adjustments for individuals, clarifying instructions and motivate and inspire pupils. We will also require you to assist in behaviour management alongside promoting independence and supporting with physical needs. The succesful candidate will be placed in a school that pride themselves on creating a secure and inclusive environment for the children they support, putting their needs at the centre of everything they do. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEND Behaviour Assistant you will: Be willing to do safeguarding, behaviour management and SEND awareness training. Preferably have experience of supporting pupils with SEND. Have excellent behaviour management and set high expectations. Be able to confidently plan engaging activities at times.
