Job Description
We are recruiting for a Goods Inwards & Parts Person to assist the Parts department at our Dartford branch, based in Kent.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the goods inward area and all parts and showroom-related deliveries. Alongside this, you will support retail sales within the showroom, including Parts, Hardware, Clothing, and Groundcare Machinery. You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, responding to customer enquiries about our products and services both face-to-face and over the telephone.
Essential Skills & Experience
1. Knowledge of, or an interest in, general machinery (beneficial but not essential)
2. Comfortable working in a busy environment and able to cope under pressure
3. Strong communication skills – face-to-face, telephone, email, and written
4. Previous retail or showroom experience (desirable)
5. General computer skills, including email and internet use
6. Ability to support internal workshop technicians with parts identification
7. Good numeracy and literacy skills
8. Smart and presentable appearance
9. High level of attention to detail, particularly when handling cash, cheque, and card payments
