PUBLIC DENTAL SERVICE Dental Officer – Paediatric and Special Care Dentistry Care Dentistry (Band A) 37.5 hours per week 1.0 WTE Full or part-time applications welcome SALARY £54,117 - £81,175 (pro rata if part-time) Lothian Public Dental Service is looking for a Dental Officer to work with our excellent Paediatric and Special Care teams providing high quality care for children and vulnerable adults living in Lothian. Are you passionate about dental health? Are you a dentist who is keen to provide dental care for children and adults with additional needs, dental anxiety and high levels of dental disease? If so, you may want to apply for this post. You will undertake routine dental care to children and adults with a wide range of disability and impairment, who cannot receive their care in the General Dental Service. Provide care for children and adults with high levels of dental disease and dental anxiety who are referred by General Dental Practitioners and other health and social care workers. Treatment is often provided under general anaesthesia or sedation. We are part of the Lothian Oral Health Service which includes consultant led hospital based dental services. You will work alongside experience colleagues in the Public Dental Service and be supported by the senior team. You should be able to demonstrate experience in working with children and vulnerable adults and show a keen interest in developing your skills in these areas.
